Also performed these songs "Racing in the Street," "Gotta Get That Feeling," "Ain't Good Enough For You" and "The Promise".

E Street Band members Clarence Clemons, Steven Van Zandt, Max Weinberg, Roy Bittan and Gary Tallent, along with Charles Giordano, keyboards, and Ed Manion, Barry Danielian, Curt Ramm, Clark Gayton and Stan Harrison on horns.

Bruce Springsteen joined the E Street band, the songs played are featured on "The Promise"a two-CD set.

Bruce Springsteen Plays Secret Show

A secret concert Tuesday night had been performed by the Bruce Springsteen and his E Street buddies just off the boardwalk in Asbury Park, New Jersey, according to RollingStone.com.

Recently released The Promise album songs played by the boss and his team,which collects unreleased material made during the sessions for 1978’s Darkness on the Edge of Town.

Very low amount of fans got to see the show, held at the Carousel House.Each song was played twice during the show, which will be used for a web broadcast at some point in the future.

On Tuesday night, Bruce Springsteen made a special one-hour appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

The US born rock star joins Jimmy Fallon who was dressed in character as Neil Young — took to the stage to perform an acoustic version of Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair." Springsteen on other hand was dressed up pretending to be himself in the 1970s wearing a cap and sunglasses.

Springsteen was also interviewed by Fallon after the performances and performed the songs "Because the Night" and "Save My Love" with Steve Van Zandt, Roy Bittan and the Roots.

Bruce Springsteen is currently promoting The Promise - a 2-CD set containing previously unreleased songs - and The Promise: The Darkness On The Edge Of Town Story - a 6-disc set which features unseen footage. Both were released on November 16.

Springsteen Will Appear on 'Late Night With Jimmy Fallon'

In support of the new Darkness On The Edge of Town box set when he performs on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, he will only make his schedule TV appearance on Tuesday.It is still ambiguous that who will backed him up: The E Street Band or the Late Night house band The Roots.It may be difficult to imagine Springsteen playing with ?uestlove and Black Thought, but in the past year and a half the incredibly versatile group has played with everybody from Paul Simon and Christopher Cross to Weird Al Yankovic.


It's not uncommon for acts to play one song with their own band and a second one with The Roots to be posted on Fallon's website — so Springsteen may wind up performing with both acts. Songs like "Badlands" and "Adam Raised A Cain" are difficult to imagine being played with The Roots, but newly released R&B influenced Darkness outtakes like "Talk To Me" could be amazing.
